Scottsdale, Arizona

February 26, 2010

Yesterday a couple of teachers and I hired a car to take us to the Old Town part of Scottsdale, AZ. The Old Town is set up like an old western town. One end was set up with art galleries and as you loved further east down the streets, it turned more casual with western stores, jewelry stores, and saloons. I stood outside one saloon and listened to the country music. The weather here is gorgeous, the people pleasant and I had a great time. We ended up walked north to the 5th Street Avenue shops and ended up eating at a restaurant that escapes my memory right now but the food was good. I ordered the ribs, my friends both ordered hamburgers. The ribs were just okay….don’t get me wrong, they had a decent flavor but I’m from Kansas City….barbeque capital of the world! Then, we caught a trolly that took us to the bus station where we caught a bus to the Light Rail station that brought us back to downtown Phoenix by our hotel. I was exhausted but had a great time!
