Tea Wrap Shawl

June 8, 2010

My newest shawl. This crocheted up super fast! If I hadn’t kept changing the pattern ripping out it would have easily been completed in a day. I used Omega’s Diamante yarn. One skein = 470 yards (100 gms.) purchased several years ago at Hobby Lobby for only $3.94. The pattern was a free download from Lion Brand Yarns. I crocheted this with a size 9.00 mm (US size N) hook.

Pattern Changes: I repeated an extra set of pattern by crocheted rows 4 -9 one extra time. I also crocheted treble crochets instead on double crochets on row 5. I omitted the final three rows (rows 22 & 23 nad the edging). Instead, I did one more row of scallops.

My on-line friend Cheryl from California knit this same shawl using Cherry Tree Hill Supersock Solid yarn… she inspired me to knit this shawl. Thanks Cheryl!

Wow! You weren’t kidding when you said you were inspired and wanted to make one. That was fast! It’s gorgeous! I love this pattern so much that I might make another one. 😀
